Seth Rogen & Barbara Streisand team for My Mother's Curse
The odd couple are going on a road trip
Barbara Streisand and Seth Rogen are teaming up to play a mother and son in comedy road movie My Mother's Curse .
The stars have been attached for the project for some time, but the film has only now been given a green light.
Plotwise, the movie sees Rogen's inventor invite his mother on a cross-country sales trip to flog his new product, with the intention of setting her up with an old flame.
Writer Dan Fogelman ( Tangled , Bolt , Cars ) loosely based the script on his own experiences.
The movie will be directed by Anne Fletcher, who was behind romcom mega-hit The Proposal starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.
The tag team of Streisand and Rogen could see this one pull in a considerable audience, with the pair covering most demographics between them.
It also sounds like there will be plenty of opportunity for heartfelt moments in amidst the awkward gags, so we'll keep an eye on this one.
