Seth Rogen joining Danny Boyles Steve Jobs biopic
Set to play Steve Wozniak
Having already secured Christian Bale for the title role, Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs biopic is continuing to build its cast, with Variety reporting that Seth Rogen is in line to join the project.
According to the report, Rogen has bagged the role of Steve Wozniak, one of Jobs’ closest allies and co-founder of Apple who played a key role in the development of some of the company’s most ground-breaking technology.
Said technology will form the focal point of the film, with each of its three, thirty-minute acts set just before the launch of the Mac, the NeXT and the iPod.
Meanwhile, The Wrap claims that Jessica Chastain is also on Boyle’s hit-list, with the director keen to sign her up as soon as possible. No details as yet regarding who she might be playing…
Adapted from Walter Isaacson’s acclaimed biography and directed by Boyle, the film has yet to receive an official release date, with shooting expected to begin in early 2015.
