SFX Crews Instant Reaction To The JJ Abrams Star Wars News/Rumour
An excited trio of SFX crewmembers discuss the new possibilities for a galaxy far, far away
Okay, okay, okay, it’s not 100% a done deal yet, but it’s looking very, very likely JJ Abrams will be directing Star Wars Episode VII (see here ). The internet went into meltdown overnight at the news/rumour (delete as per your cynicism factor) and it was a sure bet that SFX staffers were going to be blabbing about nothing else for hours in the office…
But before we let them, we bundled them into a meeting first thing and recorded their instant, no-chance-to-edit-their-thoughts-beforehand reactions, and here are the results (which, admittedly, were edited a bit, because they did go on for hours…)

UPDATE! The JJ Abrams story is now confirmed. "JJ, his longtime producing partner Bryan Burk, and Bad Robot are on board to produce along with Kathleen Kennedy ... Also consulting on the project are Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg." More at StarWars.com
