Shadowrun
Microsoft shows off its controversial new first-person shooter.
Spells can be used in a number of ways, such as summoning crystals to trap an enemy and then passing him a grenade or using special sight to peer through walls and then teleporting through them to kill an unsuspecting target. The possibilities are intriguing, but you’ll have to be careful because there are drawbacks. When raised by a teammate from the dead, for example, your life is tied directly to the other player’s; in short, if they die you’ll follow them into the void. An alternative tactic could be planting a tree of life that heals teammates underneath its branches; however, the healing works both ways - enemies that stand under it will be healed as well. Whereas CounterStrike rewarded teamwork and cooperative tactics, Shadowrun emphasizes cleverness and individual survival.
