Shane Black will direct Predator reboot
Fox moving forward with franchise relaunch
Fox is pressing forward with its reboot of the Predator franchise, with Shane Black set to occupy the director's chair.
According to THR , Black will write the first draft for a screenplay, before stepping behind the camera and allowing frequent collaborator Fred Dekker to complete a finished script.
Pleasingly enough, Black already has a link to the original franchise, having performed some uncredited rewrites on the first film's script, and even taken a small role on-screen.
There are no details as yet regarding what Black has planned for the film, but his track record is more than enough to get us good and excited by the prospect!
Fox has been sitting on the franchise since Predators back in 2010, but clearly feels the time is right to give it a shot in the arm. No release date has been set as yet.
