Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner - first look
Detective noir meets devilish Pokemon. Yep, it could only be a Shin Megami Tensei game
Since you play a detective character, much of the general gameplay involves running around Tokyo looking for evidence and following up on leads. Raidou's powers add a nice supernatural twist, though, as he can use his summoned demons to read minds and otherwise influence unhelpful people. He’ll just have to capture those demons first, which is where the combat system comes in.
Devil Summoner is a minor departure from the overall franchise in that it adds some action to the series' typical RPG elements. Battles occur randomly - even in the seemingly safe, sunny streets - and in real-time. This means you'll be running around the screen, slashing swords and shooting guns, rather than paging through a bunch of menus. It's not Devil May Cry, but it works well enough.
