Shin Megami Tensei meets Fire Emblem in new Wii U mashup
Nintendo and Atlus collaborate for new title
Nintendo has announced a new collaboration with Atlus to bring a new game to Wii U combining the universes of Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei. The announcement was made during a Nintendo Direct broadcast which also announced a new 3D Mario adventure and an HD remake of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, among others. No other details about the game were given, although there was a brief video showing artwork from the two series was shown:
Nintendo's president, Satoru Iwata, explained: "Because the scope of game development for each title is getting larger and larger, we cannot prepare enough titles for Wii U using the same approaches we have taken in the past. This collaboration with Atlas is an example of one of our new approaches."
He added: "We are working with many more partners on additional collaborations as well. I will discuss those projects in future Nintendo Directs or at other opportunities. Please look forward to hearing about them."
