SiN Episodes 360 and PS3 bound?
Developer hopes to make console version of episodic FPS
Ritual Entertainment, developer of the PC first-person shooter SiN Episodes, is considering bringing the game to next-gen consoles Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
SiN Episodes is an ambitious, episodic gaming project that will see the FPS released in nine different downloadable segments. It follows the exploits of the HardCorps commander John Blade, who first appeared in the original SiN that was released in 1998, and his attempt to bring down an evil corporation.
An Xbox 360 version was always a possibility as Xbox Live Marketplace would make an ideal place to offer episodic downloads, but in an interview with an online news site, VP of development at Ritual Tom Mustaine let slip that a PS3 version is certainly a possibility.
"We're going to do a 360 version at some point in the future. We haven't finalized those plans yet so I haven't really announced it yet, but we will be doing it. We are also hoping to do a PlayStation 3 version as well."
SiN Episodes: Emergence - the first in the series - was made available for download on publishing group Valve's Steam site (www.steampowered.com)earlier this month but is also available in retail stores.
