Sneak peek at Scott Pilgrim poster
Promo spotted at ShoWest...
Michael Cera will be flexing his indie-kid muscles again, or at least showing off the lack of them, when Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World is released this summer.
The film isn't due until August but we have a few sneaky pics of the poster to feast your eyes upon;
Why? Cos this isn't quite the average Michael Cera fare (read; awkward humour, loveable bumbling). This adaptation of Bryan O'Malley's comic has rather more of a magical-realism bent.
For example one of the 'evil exes' has the ability to summon 'demonic hipster chicks'. Another has tele-kinetic powers. You get the picture; Juno this ain't.
British director Edgar Wright is overseeing this one and will have a talented cast at his disposal.
Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and off-beat comedy stalwart Jason Schwartzman are all on hand to help Wright deliver the same kind of laughs he dished out on Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead.
