SNK readying Nintendo titles

SNK Playmore, the publisher behind such revered series as King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown, has announced its support for Nintendo's two alive-and-well pieces of hardware. The first games coming down the pike? Metal Slug Anthology for Wii and SNK vs Capcom: Card Fighters DS.

The side-scrolling, gun-toting series is synonymous with hardcore shooting action, but Anthology claims to shake things up even more by using Wii's tilty-whirly controller in "new and unique" ways. Seeing as the whole point of Metal Slug is to run left and right, and shoot, a lot, we're not clear on how a motion-sensing wand will totally change things up. Guess we'll all find out at E3 next week

The other title, Card Fighters DS, stacks the most popular scrappers from Capcom and SNK fighting games against each other... with cards. Look forward to plenty of Street Fighter cameos and another chance to expunge your fanboy, card-based dream fights. If the name wasn't enough of a giveaway, Card Fighters will land on the DS later this year.
