Snoopy vs. the Red Baron
The cutest version of World War I you'll ever see
The aerial combat flows along surprisingly smooth. As you guide Snoopy and his avian co-pilot Woodstock through each level, enemy planes zip by and hovering drones hum along, all clipping around with river-like fluidity. Pulling off Snoopy's biplane tricks is easy too - loops, 180 turns ... standard stuff. Granted, the cartoony graphics and simple moves aren't busting the hardware's brains, but hey, smooth is smooth.
Above: Family-friendly weapons are the norm in this Saturday-morning war
All in all, you're looking at more than 50 kid-friendly sorties, plus several four-player modes and even unique co-op missions. The major players of the Peanuts cast are all in tow, from Charlie Brown to Linus to the barking-mad Lucy, so longtime fans will obviously get a rise out of seeing which roles the cast members take on. It's for the younger set, but as Baby's First Ace Combat, there's plenty going for Snoopy and his crew.
