Sonic Generations and Shinobi confirmed for 3DS
June issue of Nintendo Power to feature more details on both titles
If you’re like us, you’re probably wondering what you’re going to do with that swank 3DS you bought after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is finished. Don’t worry, this is a common problem. The cure, though, will come with one simple word; and according to Nintendo Power, that word is “hedgehog.â€
Also, “ninjas.†Okay fine. Two words. Whatever.
The June issue of Nintendo Power confirms that Sonic Generations will be coming out for the Nintendo 3DS, clearly showing off Sega’s marquee blue varmint in a classic and cocky pose with his index finger fully extended. A closer look to the upper left corner on the cover also outs the revival of the classic ninja platforming series, Shinobi. News of Sonic Generations and Shinobi is followed by what appears to be a leaked copy of an internal trailer for the upcoming 3DS Shinobi title.

Sure, the video doesn’t show much, but it confirms the existence of the game as well as its developer, Griptonite Games, the studio responsible for the upcoming Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters.
Also, considering Sega’s longtime love for releasing Sonic games on as many consoles as possible, a 3DS version of the upcoming Sonic Generations should come to the surprise of absolutely no one. A new Shinobi, though, that, sir, is rad.
Expect to hear more about both titles on GamesRadar as E3 2011 draws nearer.
