Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II release dates revealed by Sega
Conveniently freeze-framed so you can read them more easily
Sega's announced the release dates for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, which for a game about an impossibly fast urchin sure has taken its sweet time since the 2010 release of its predecessor. Not that we're complaining: if it's as enjoyable, retro-friendly and ridiculous-animal-soap-opera-free as the first episode, any time of the year is a good time for Sonic.
The game'll be releasing May 15 on PSN, and one day later on XBLA. IOS and PC versions of the title have already been dated for May, with an Android version to follow in June and the Windows Phone port to close off the festivities in July. By which time, of course, console owners will be well done with the game and starting to ask insistent questions about Episode III. Sega can pack its games with as many hyperspeed woodland creatures as it pleases; there's no keeping up with the Internet's voracious hunger for new shiny things.
