Sons of Anarchy's Theo Rossi revs up for Marvel's Luke Cage
After seven seasons as Sons of Anarchy's Juice, Theo Rossi is heading back to the small screen for another bout of law-breaking. A new report from Deadline outlines that Rossi has joined Marvel's third Netflix series Luke Cage as one of the show's antagonists, Shades (also known as Alvarez).
Confirmed as a series regular, Rossi's career criminal is described as "relentless and menacing, smooth and manipulative, street smart and controlling." With descriptors like those, it should come as no surprise that he's the nemesis of Luke Cage, the titular superhero played by Mike Colter. Additional villainous support comes from Alfre Woodard who signed on recently to tackle the part of Black Mariah.
In yet another casting twist, the site goes on to reveal that Rosario Dawson will reprise her role of Daredevil's Claire Temple for the series. By the looks of it, Temple is an integral part of Marvel's Netflix universe, as she's also due to pop up in the second show Jessica Jones that recently wrapped production. Currently, there's no official release date for Luke Cage, but it's expected to drop sometime in 2016.
