Sony apparently no longer developing PS Vita Games
You might have thought it stopped a while ago but it's the first time it's been mentioned officially, with Sony Computer Entertainment EVP Ito Masayasu apparently admitting in a Japanese interview that there were no first party Vita games in development.
I'll be cautious here because the main English source is this translation that reports Masayasu said: "Currently, first party studios have no titles in development for PS Vita. Since third parties are working very hard on PS Vita, SCE’s own strategy is to focus on PS4, which is a new platform."
However I'm not sure if that's an actual translation or an interpretation of what google shows: "Currently, there is no PS Vita titles for the first party has produced. PS Vita, because third party's is he working hard very, as the SCE, it is up to that took a strategy to focus on prime fresh PS4 is a new platform."
I've contacted Sony for comment but we do know that Andrew House was "expecting a decrease in portable business". Part of the interview with Masayasu offers some hope by saying that the company is working with third party developers for the Vita, but it sounds like, as far as Sony is concerned, it's focusing all its efforts on PS4.
