Sony boss not done yet
Retiring Kutaragi has "vision for PlayStation 4, 5 and 6..."
It was only last week that cherub-faced PlayStation creator Ken Kutaragi announced that he wasretiring from his high flying position at Sony, but rather than preparing for a laidback - andquote free- life in the gray lane, it seems that he's going to be busy devising the next three chapters in PlayStation history.
"As a matter of course, I have the vision of PlayStation 4, 5 and 6, which will merge into the network," Kutaragi told online technology siteEETimes. The article alsostates that the next challenge Kutaragi has in mindis "creating a new world on the network... following the design and development of computer entertainment on the PlayStation."
Just to add a sprinkle of confusion over the whole thing, though, Kutaragi told EETimes that his future projects would be "largely independent" of Sony, which makes us wonder what all the PlayStation 4, 5 and 6 talk is all about?
Check the article for yourself and see if you can decipher the words of Kutaragi any better than us. We're just going to imagine Ken in his garden shed, pipe in mouth, quietly tinkering with his soldering iron and circuit boards.
