Spectrobes unearthed
Fossil hunting Tamagotchi-a-like heading to your DS
Wednesday 3 May 2006
Buena Vista Games has announced Spectrobes for DS, a Pokemon-style collect-'em-all game that brings palaeontology and the DS stylus together at last.
As Rallen and Jeena, intergalactic patrol-people, it's up to you to scour the universe searching for the spectrobes. These are fossilised creatures that must be resurrected and used to combat the Krawl, deep-space nasties who threaten to destroy the galaxy.

By using the DS stylus you'll be scratching around in the dirt and digging up the legion of spectrobes scattered around the universe. Once you've dusted them off you can train and evolve them to enhance their fighting abilities in the real-time battles against the Krawl.
Buena Vista hasn't confirmed any release date, as yet, but it's great to see the stylus getting another outing. We'll have more on Spectrobes soon.
