Spider-Man 2 sits happily at the top of the pile but the chart looks like a famine-stricken tundra with not one single new release penetrating the top 40, let alone the top 20 chart.
The top four places are non-movers and, in a week bereft of impressive performances, The Sims: Bustin' Out is the best of the climbers, rising from 20 to 14. Which, to be frank, is no great shakes and sums up a dismal week for new blood all round.
Even more depressing, especially for Gamecube owners, is that the total number of PSone games sold this week was greater that the number of Cube titles sold. Roll on the autumn releases is all we can say.
