Spin-off kings
Seven contenders battle for the side-series crown
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot. Star of some decent 3D platformers and... some pretty rubbish spin-offs. Crash Bash is an OK party game, Crash Team Racing and Crash Tag Team Racing are dull Mario Kart clones (every games character has to have a Mario Kart clone - it's a tradition or a charter or something). Then there's Crash Boom Bang on DS, which is... well, we suppose a sort of party game. But it's unfathomable and about as fun as a spent party popper. Crash, buddy - stick to your day job... please?
