Spin-off kings
Seven contenders battle for the side-series crown
Pac-Man
We suppose that being one of the oldest videogame characters around helps when it comes to spawning a number of spin-offs. But it's only recently that Pac-Man has broadened his horizons. Nintendo DS has seen Pac-Pix - a game where you have to draw a Pac-Man shape with the stylus to eat enemies - and also Pac 'n' Roll, which is very much like Super Monkey Ball, only with Pac-Man characteristics. He's also had Pac-Man Pinball on GBA... but we've never played it. Sorry.
On top of all that, Pac-Man Rally sees the yellow guy climb into a kart and go racing. A bit like Mario Ka...(snip!)
