Sports Illustrated trailer for Need for Speed: The Run has daily dose of swimsuit models
Keep watching and you might even get a look at the game
The new trailer for Need for Speed: The Run focuses on two of its cast's more notable assets (or four of them, if that's the joke you'd like to be making here). The clip highlights the presence of Sports Illustrated models Chrissy Teigen and Irina Shayk within the title: besides lending their voices to the cast, Teigen and Shayk appear in-game as BFFs competing against your character. There's rather a lot of seemingly-unrelated footage of the pair's day-jobs before the clip gets round to showing them in the game, but that's just how trailers are nowadays. Go figure.
“Sports Illustrated and Need for Speed is such a good pairing because they're two very iconic brands,” says Teigen, named Rookie of the Year in 2010's Swimsuit Issue. “I think it's very similar demographics as well.”
Shayk, cover-model for this year's issue, echoes the sentiment: “I'm sure everybody would love to see a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model in a videogame racing cars. Come on, guys.”
Need for Speed: The Run launches Nov 15 in North America, and three days later in Europe.
