Here's what's in Star Wars Battlefront's day one patch
Star Wars Battlefront is only out on EA Access, but it already has its very first patch. Reddit users have posted the notes for update 1.01, and you'll need to install straight away if you want to play online (which is pretty much the whole point). Here are Battlefront's inaugural patch notes - don't forget to check our full rundown of every Star Wars Battlefront weapon, card, and vehicle for more context.
- Tweaked hero card spawn timers
- General bug fixes for the partner system
- Various fixes for getting stuck when exiting Starfighters and ground vehicles
- General crash and stability fixes
- Online traffic performance improvements
- Various text fixes for all languages
- General bug fixes for both Missions and Multiplayer
The Star Wars Battlefront beta had some balance issues and matchmaking problems, but once you got into a match it was remarkably stable. Hopefully the servers can stand up to the influx of hardcore players and battle-fantasizing Star Wars fans once Battlefront is released on November 17 in North America and November 19 in Europe.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
