If you've got an Xbox One and a subscription to EA Access, you'll get to play Star Wars Battlefront for 10 hours starting November 12, five days before the public at large. What's noteworthy here is that, unlike previous EA Access preview periods which blocked off certain portions of games, the entirety of Battlefront will be available to experience. That means every solo mission, every planet, every fight.
@ChrisGrieves You can play Star Wars Battlefront for a total of 10 hours. That includes any single-player missions or multiplayer battles.November 2, 2015
Previous EA Access preview periods have allowed players to carry over save data and progress to the full game, so while the tweet above doesn't specifically mention that aspect, it's likely to be the case this time too. The preview period also functionally acts as a pre-load of the game, so no sitting on the couch at midnight waiting for Battlefront to warm up its laser cannons.
EA Access was introduced in August 2014 as a $4.99 per month/$29.99 per year subscription that gives members a five-day head start on upcoming EA-published games, a library of previously-released games available to download, and a 10% discount on digital titles. EA is not opposed to bringing the program to other platforms such as the PS4, but Sony isn't keen on the idea. So for now, this remains an Xbox One owner's treat.
