State of Decay out in June with new trailer
Zombie survival game shows how to get along with your undead neighbors
State of Decay will put the "survival" back in survival horror when it releases on Xbox Live in June. Developer Undead Labs announced the release date for its open-world zombie apocalypse game today along with this new trailer, which shows the action-packed lives and perma-deaths of its survivors.
State of Decay throws players into a region already overrun by the dead, with the shambling hordes growing worse day by day. AI survivors must band together with your help, decide where to establish their stronghold, and supply it regularly with dangerous scavenging trips.
Vehicles, weaponry, and panicked sprinting will keep you alive for a while, but planning and preparation are the name of the game. Undead Labs says it plans to release the zombie sim on PC, as well, but it will launch first on Xbox 360.
