State Of Play trailer lands

The first trailer for State Of Play, starring Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck and Helen Mirren is now online and you can watch it right here.

Adapted from the British miniseries and directed by Kevin Macdonald, the movie finds a journalist (Crowe) investigating a conspiracy surrounding the murder of an employee – and mistress – of his old political mucker (Affleck).

Working alongside fellow hack Rachel McAdams for tough-as-nails editor Helen Mirren, Crowe uncovers some seriously dangerous dealings in Washington.

Frazzled hacks

While Crowe makes for a suitably frazzled hack, we predict Helen Mirren will make the biggest splash, playing the role originated by Bill Nighy in the TV original.

And if anyone wondered what it was like working on totalfilm.com, this footage provides a peak into the world of cutting edge film journalism.

Except we get involved in bigger conspiracies.
