Steampunk Harley Quinn, goth pirate, and Final Fantasy Fallout: How Sega thought of westernising Bayonetta
Better? Worse? Even necessary?
How do you like your gun-swinging, high-kicking witch protagonists to look?Happy witha figure-hugging catsuit made of hair that drops off a second's notice? Or would you prefer a big set of sci-fi boots and a long coat? Or maybe something more akin to a Steampunk Harley Quinn would be more to your tastes? Just revealed viathe concept artist's blog, it turns out that Sega considered giving Bayonetta a complete character make-over back in 2008, a year or so before the game's release. The intention? Make her more western-friendly. There are six versions below, and barring glasses they're all a far cry from the leggy latex look she ended up with.
Are they any good? Were they even necessary? Have a look and let me know what you think.
Cheers,OXM!
