Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin gets a teaser trailer
First look at motion-capture Herge adaptation
The first teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin has finally hit the web.
With so little of the movie revealed in the slow-burn marketing, this is the first time we've even had a proper glimpse of our hero's face.
The trailer's at its best when it's lurking in the ominous shadows, making the movie look like it could be a family adventure with real menace (Spielberg knows a thing or two about that...)
While the scenery looks undeniably stunning, there's still something disconcertingly lifeless the faces, though to be fair there's not a huge amount of fizzogs on display so perhaps Spielberg and co are still working on it.
Snowy is all kinds of cute though...
Check out the trailer for yourself now:
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn stars Jamie Bell as the titular boy reporter, with Daniel Craig, Andy Serkis, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost also providing movements and voices for their mo-cap counterparts.
Peter Jackson is lending his blockbusting heft as producer, and the script comes courtesy of Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish. It's set for release on 26 October 2011.
