Steven Spielberg teases Indiana Jones 5

With every month that passes comes another tidbit of scintillating intel concerning the long-awaited Indiana Jones 5. Over the last couple of years, Chris Pratt's name was tossed into the fedora to play the archaeologist, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the studio was actively pursuing the sequel and producer Frank Marshall commented that it's definitely NOT happening. So what does Steven Spielberg have to say?

On the promotional trail for spy thriller Bridge of Spies, the director joked about how many movies he'd collaborated on with both Tom Hanks and Harrison Ford, dropping in a not-so-subtle tease about the fifth Indy movie. "We’ve gotta figure this out because now, Tom is tied with Harrison Ford: Harrison and I did four movies, Tom and I have done four movies,” he told Yahoo. “Now I’ll probably do an Indy 5 with Harrison, [so] it’ll be five for Harrison, four for Tom.”

"Probably" is of course the operative word here. Spielberg's upcoming slate is rather packed with The BFG currently in the final stages of post-production and Ready Player One gearing up to shoot next year. Still, with Harrison Ford apparently open to the idea of returning, let's not dismiss Spielberg's comments just yet.
