The second Street Fighter 5 beta is now underway. Along with cross-platform play between PS4 and PC users and a new selection of fighters, participants can finally take on a friend with local play - a feature missing from the first (troubled) test back in July.
It's something you'll probably want to take advantage of too, considering this new beta is having troubles of its own. Over on the Capcom blog, it's noted that online matchmaking is functioning slower than intended, and Capcom is "not confident that the matchmaking rate will improve significantly throughout the course of this beta period."
The good news is you can play against a friend while you wait for a match by entering training mode and setting the AI to be human-controlled. In this way, you get to have your cake and punch it, too.
The second Street Fighter 5 beta is set to conclude on October 25.
