Street Fighter IV playable next month
Capcom fighting sequel to make playable debut in Tokyo next month
In Tokyo next month? Good with combos? Then you might want to pop in town for the first playable demo of Street Fighter IV... if you can beat of the horde of delirious fighter fans.
In an update at the game's official Japanese blog, project manager Natsuki Shiozawa has revealed that the Capcom fighter will make its playable debut at the AOU 2008 Amusement Expo, an Arcade show opening its doors on February 15 at the Makuhari Messe in Tokyo.
There's lots of behind the scenes changes set for the fourth installment, which promises to be "more aggressive" than ever before. It also looks like its further along than we thought, if the playable demos are already on the loose.
UPDATE: Capcom has let us know that the version on display in Tokyo will in fact be an Arcade Location Test, where top players will turn up to play and provide feedback for balancing. This information will then be used to tweak Street Fighter IV to near-perfection.
In other words, don't ride too much on the impressions that come from it... because it can, and will all change.
