Celebrate Street Fighter 2's 25th anniversary - generate your own SF sequel
Street Fighter 2 was released this week, 25 years ago. It's remarkable for many reasons, but a major factor in us remembering it is because that single game was re-released in enough different editions to become a sub-series by itself. The World Warrior, The New Challengers, Hyper Fighting, Turbo, Champion Edition and more, not to mention the board game, pinball tables, card game and any number of other spin-offs. It was everywhere.
Now, we know that Street Fighter 5 is different and you won't have to pay for new Street Fighter 5 editions or DLC - but what would have happened if Capcom had planned some SF2-style re-releases? Enter the Street Fighter Name Generator, our one-click suggestion machine to help you (and Capcom, if it changes its mind) to find the perfect name for a tweaked, augmented re-release. Let us know your favourites in the comments.
