You need only view a Mega Man fan site or forum to know that the Blue Bomber’s fans are dying for a new entry in the series for some time. If you were paying attention to those fans, you may also have noticed that Mega Man’s 25th anniversary is next week on December 17, not too long after fellow Capcom franchise Street Fighter turned 25. Well, to celebrate all of that Capcom has just announced a new, FREE Mega Man game that crosses over with Street Fighter and it’s out in just seven days. Timed for the day Mega Man turns 25, this NES throwback is a brand new Mega Man adventure, only the robot masters have been replaced with classic members of the Street Fighter roster, including Ryu, Blanka, and Chun-Li. We’ll have more info on how this intriguing project came to be, but for now just know that it will be available for download on December 17, 2012 for PC. Are the Mega Man fans out there excited?
