Super Mario Odyssey brings Mario to the real world, but this GTA mash-up brings him to the *real* world

I think we all had a feeling of shock and surprise when the trailer for Super Mario Odyssey showed the cartoon plumber entering the real world-- well, if you count "New Donk City" as the real world anyway. As strange as it was though, it's got nothing on a new video from YouTube user CrowbCat.

By using a (disfigured) Mario model in GTA 4, CrowbCat has shown us all what Mario in the real world would actually be like, and it's horrifying - but hilarious at the same time. Let's watch:

Yeah, suddenly Nintendo's version doesn't seem so weird.
