Supergirl takes flight October 26th
CBS has unveiled an official air date for its upcoming Supergirl series, with the pilot episode set to make its bow on 26 October 2015. The show will then continue every Monday evening at 8pm.
The network celebrated the announcement by releasing a new video featuring titular star, Melissa Benoist. Benoist holds up a piece of paper showing off the new air date, before dropping it to reveal a big old Supergirl logo on her chest. Hooray!

The new show will follow the exploits of Kara Zor-El, who has spent years on Earth passing herself as a normal young woman. However, having grown tired of repressing her powers, she decides to step up to the plate and become a fully-fledged superhero…
Co-starring Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks and Chyler Lee, the new show will air immediately after The Big Bang Theory, in the hopes of piggybacking off that show's huge audience. A UK air date has yet to be confirmed at this stage.
