8. The one about demons nobody played
The game: Demon's Crest (SNES)
Published by: Capcom
You played it in: 1994
What's Cool: C'mon people, you play as a shape shifting demon. This long-forgotten, gothic tale took the best aspects of Mega Man and stirred them up in a cauldron of brimstone. Instead of a high-voiced android, you're a fire breathing demon on a quest to ... well we can't remember what you're supposed to be doing. But gaining new powers and flying around the globe in search of other demons to put down was a blast.
Crest is something of a side story to the newly remade PSP version of Ghosts 'n Goblins, so this universe is already enjoying a comeback. Problem is, practically no one dove into this mid-'90s tale. Engrossing as it was, don't expect the unpopular to rise up again.
Redemption on the way?Not a demon's chance in heaven.
