Sword of the Stars
3D space strategy finally returns to our orbit
Remember thePC real-time strategy game Homeworld, and its sequel, Homeworld Cataclysm? You commanded an armada of spaceships in battle against asteroids, enemies, and anytihng else that neededblown right out of the inky blackness? No? Okay, do you remember the TV show Battlestar Galactica, either the cheesy '80s version or the one currently on Sci-Fi Channel? That's what Sword of the Stars is. Explore, expand, exploit and exterminate as one of four races in a game thatcombines genius real-time 3D combat with an epic story that follows the human race in a battle for survival across the galaxy. Help the humans, or wipe them out as one of three powerful alien factions - Tarkas, Hiver or Liir - each withits own unique technology and play style.
Without a galaxy-bound, 3D real-time strategy title like Homeworld to call their own lately, strategy aficionadoshave been lost in space. Sword of the Stars, developed by many of the same people who developed Homeworld: Cataclysm, is just the thing to fill that gap.
