Take the rumble with you in Rumbleverse, out on NVIDIA GeForce NOW
Are you ready to rumble? Rumbleverse just released, and the brawling battle royale is ready to play on just about any device you want thanks to its inclusion in the NVIDIA GeForce NOW roster.
Rumbleverse puts a new spin on the familiar battle royale formula. You’ll enter a battlefield, fight a host of online competitors to be the last combatant standing, and battle for position as the map shrinks around you, forcing remaining players into ever-tighter quarters.
However, unlike the many battle royale games that have come before it, Rumbleverse isn’t a shooter. You’re not going to run around loading up on guns and grenades, because in Rumbleverse, every player is a hardcore wrestler trying to make it as the champion in the Brawler Royale.
To start each match, you’ll launch yourself out of a cannon into Grapital City, scoping out an ideal space to make your landing, and then crashing down to the city below. From there, you’ll be on the search for enemies to challenge, weapons to lay a smackdown with, resources for empowering your character, and new skills to use against other players.
You’ll always have access to basic hit and grapples to take on opponents, but special educational booklets you find throughout the map can let you memorize up to two different special skills you can use to turn the tide of a fight. The environment is also an asset, as certain moves can benefit from it, like grappling an enemy and powerbombing them off the side of a tower.
In your journey to become the ultimate fighter in Grapital City, you’ll get tons of options for customizing your character. You can edit their shape, clothing, and accessories with a ton of nuance, helping you design a shining face or a devious heel.
Whether you want to play at home or on the go, GeForce NOW provides a capable and handy means of enjoying Rumbleverse. And with the RTX 3080 membership, you get some extra benefits to your gameplay. Notably, you can run the title at up to 1440p and 120fps, giving you extra resolution to scope out enemies across greater distances in Grapital City and extra frames to see smoother action and get a better read on enemy attacks. Alternatively, if you just want the sharpest picture, you can opt for 4K HDR gameplay on an NVIDIA SHIELD TV.
NVIDIA GeForce NOW provides an easy way to get into the action of Rumbleverse, but it’s got plenty more to offer. The service includes loads of titles from popular game stores and many free-to-play titles ready to access at a moment’s notice. More games are regularly being added to the platform as well, and you can keep up with each new addition and the latest updates to the service through the NVIDIA GeForce NOW Thursdays blog or follow GeForce Now on Twitter and Facebook.
