Howl at the moon! MTV orders 12 new episodes for 2012
Teen Wolf, a very loose update of the ’80s werewolf comedy movie starring Michael J Fox, has been MTV’s highest-rated new series of the 2010 and 2011 season, doubling the usual figures MTV achieves its time slot to an average of 1.7 million.
“We’re incredibly proud of this show. Executive producer Jeff Davis has brought an exciting, cinematic story to life with a breakout young cast who our audience has wildly embraced,” said David Jangler, head of MTV Programming. “Picking up Teen Wolf for a second season marks another step towards the further diversification of our schedule, with this big, bold, entertaining scripted series.”
Teen Wolf is currently airing in the UK on Sky Living, Thursdays 8pm. So now it’s safe to start watching knowing it isn’t going to get cancelled after one series.
