Tekken Tag Tournament 2 trailer reveals holiday 2012 release date
Brand new King of Iron Fist tourney coming soon to your home
The Tekken series has been everywhere lately, with the just released Tekken Hybrid on PS3, Tekken coming to 3DS early next year, and the long-awaited crossover game Street Fighter X Tekken in 2012 as well (Tekken X Street Fighter is coming some time after that). Now Namco Bandai has revealed one more brand new Tekken fighter coming in the future, with the official announcement of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for holiday 2012.
The last time we saw a Tekken Tag game was the early PS2 original, though arcade gamers in Japan have gotten a chance to play the Tag 2 for the past weeks. Home gamers got a taste of tag battling in a demo on the Tekken Hybrid Blu-ray, but the duo-based battling gets a full-on sequel for consoles this next holiday. Though the trailer was interesting, we’re curious why a game already in arcades has a little gameplay in the big reveal trailer.
