Like a zombie risen from the grave, Telltale's adaptation of The Walking Dead is coming back for more. The company tells Mashable that Season 3 is in development, and is set to debut later this year. Other than its existence and a very broad launch window, not much is known at this time; one thing Telltale can say, however, is that players should expect the unexpected.
"When we got to Season 2, we had a plan in the back of our minds of how we would make all these endings keep those threads going forward," Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner said. "The way that we're dealing with and validating and retaining all those different playthroughs is really cool and unexpected and, I think, pretty innovative from the storytelling point of view."
Bruner also pointed out that Telltale didn't have access to the cloud save technology they do now when they first started The Walking Dead, but that the company has a strategy and solution for everyone with regards to carrying over choices made in previous seasons. Choices like SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER, or whether or not you SPOILER SPOILER.
