Telltale’s Walking Dead season 3 will feature Clementine & “go hand in hand with the comic”
The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s been giving out a little more detail on where Telltale’s videogame take on the zombie apocalypse is going.
Kirkman explains (via IGN) that the third season is now getting close to where the comics currently are, saying that the “books that are coming out now are roughly in the same timeframe that season three will be in”.
That means the next game will be feature more comic book elements, in a similar way to the recent Michonne mini-series. Kirkman says things “go hand in hand with the comic a little bit more than season 2 did” but stops short of specifics, just teasing that the tie in will be done in “interesting ways”.
Most importantly, we know Clementine will be back. In what capacity isn’t clear as Kirkman will only say that “we’ll be checking in on [her] again”. He also adds that “we’ll be seeing her and where she’s at and what’s going on with her which is going to be great”.
