The first chapter of Telltale’s latest episodic series, The Wolf Among Us, will launch on October 11 on Xbox 360 and PC, priced at $4.99. On Microsoft’s console, the rest of the series (episodes 2-5) will be available at a discounted price of $14.99 as part of a season pass, versus the regular $4.99 episode price.
On PC, the game will be available from the Telltale Online Store, Steam and other online digital distribution outlets. The PC season pass will include all five episodes of the game, which can be pre-ordered now for a ten per cent discount in the run up to Friday’s launch.
The Wolf Among Us will launch on PS3 in North America on Tuesday October 15, with a European release date still to be confirmed. Individual episodes will cost $4.99, while a season pass including episodes 1-5 will be priced at $19.99.
Announced in March, The Wolf Among Us is based on DC Comics' Fables universe. Taking place prior to Bill Willingham's award-winning series, it’s set in a universe where the likes of Snow White and Little Boy Blue are forced out of their worlds and into ours. It casts players as Bigby Wolf (Big Bad Wolf), the sheriff of a hidden community in New York City. Bigby is charged with keeping order in a society where magical characters in exile from the land of fairy tales lead semi-normal lives in the real, mundane world.
