Mock-rocker Jack Black and his actor buddy Kyle Gass have updated the official site for their band-based movie Tenacious D in The Pick Of Destiny. You can now receive e-mail updates from the devil via the Hell O’clock News, as well as news from the set.
For the uninitiated, the comic tale follows the two hapless rockers on their quest to steal a mystical guitar pick that will surely make them the greatest band in the world. Hollywood celebs formed a queue to feature in the flick, with Tim Robbins, Ben Stiller and Meatloaf (playing Black’s dad) all cruising the auditions to nab a role.
Although movie stars in rock bands are historically all kinds of wrong, Tenacious D is the exception. Fusing Spinal Tap with a Blues Brothers mentality, the fellas have entertained crowds all over the world with songs such as F**k Her Gently and The One Note Song…tongues firmly in cheeks.
Now the band are set to tour at a multiplex near you in the autumn.
You can check out the official site here .
