Terry Gilliams Zero Theorem is on
Billy Bob Thornton will star
Terry Gilliam is ready to shoot his next project, computer genius drama Zero Theorem, with Billy Bob Thornton in the lead.
Yes, banish thoughts that The Man Who Killed Don Quixote will be the next thing to go before TG’s lens (unless due to the usual problems that tend to befall him, it, er, is) as French website Tout Le Cine (helpfully translated by the lads at Slash Film) reports that Gilliam has Zero Theorem is ready to go.
Well, it’s ready to go in May, anyway.
Angst
Working from a screenplay by Pat Rushin, Zero Theorem finds Thornton’s angst-filled tech genius obsessed with a project he thinks will find proof of the meaning of life – or that there’s nothing to find at all.
Sounds a little like Pi to us, and in Gilliam’s hands, this could be something special.
