Terry Pratchett's final Discworld novel coming in September
The late Terry Pratchett's final novel in the Discworld series has received an official release date, with Penguin Random House confirming that The Shepherd's Crown will be published on 10 September 2015.
The novel will be the fifth to feature young heroine Tiffany Aching, following her exploits in The Wee Free Men, A Hat Full Of Sky, Wintersmith and I Shall Wear Midnight. Pratchett finished writing it last summer, with a special collector's edition also planned.
"Terry's writing is loved and respected the world over and this publication will be an incredibly important and special event for fans and readers everywhere," said Tom Weldon, CEO of Penguin Random House. He went on to describe the chance to publish the novel as "a huge privilege".
Another Pratchett novel is planned for release in June, with The Long Utopia set to conclude the author's The Long Earth series.
