TGS 2011: Cave announces Shirotsuku and unnamed shooting game for PS Vita

Japanese developer Cave Interactive (DoDonPachi) has announced plans to bring its social mobile game Shirotsuku (Build a Castle) and an original untitled shooter to the PlayStation Vita.

Originally developed for the Mobage mobile platform, Shirotsuku is a castle building sim in which players build kingdoms during Japan's Sengoku period, collect exclusive items by checking in at real-world locations, and trade or do battle with other users. The PS Vita version will retain many of the same gameplay elements, using the handheld's geo-location functions to help players uncover souveniers in a similar fashion, as well as collect in-game coins according to how far they've travelled between 'check-ins'.

Cave was less forthcoming with details regarding its mysterious 'Shooting Game' (working title), only to say it will be a new title and make use of the PS Vita's original features.

Prices, release dates and market availability for Shirotsuku and Shooter Game (again, working title) have yet to be announced.
