TGS 2011: Konami drops fresh screens for all things remastered and Metal Gear
Take a closer look at Solid Snake in Konami’s upcoming HD collection
Konami has released new details for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection: remastered graphics rendered at 60fps in 1080p, an interface rebuilt for hi-res big-screens, Trophies, and Achievements. The HD version of Peace Walker will also feature dual-stick support and rumble, and “tentative” worldwide online matchmaking. Anyway, what you haven't seen is all the new screens for the collection.
Here's plenty of images of not just the remastered Peace Walker, but high-res shots of the flawed masterpiece that is MGS 2: Substance and plenty of glimpses of the HD remake for MGS 3: Subsistence. If you've not played through the previous generation's Metal Gear Solids, it's no exaggeration to say you're missing out on a sizable chunk of recent videogame evolution – for better and worse, but mainly better. You'll have your chance to catch up when the HD collection launches in November of this year.
