TGS 2011: PlayStation Vita dated for Japan
Remember, remember the 17th of December
Sony’s Tokyo Game Show presentation started off with a boring, slow, utterly dull recitation of statistics and trends, but the publisher didn’t disappoint when it came to dropping new information. In-between showing off the system’s online features and tablet-like functionality, they revealed that the Japanese launch date is set for December 17.
No date was given for Europe or the United States, which makes sense, what with this being the Tokyo Game Show, but it’s still a good sign that the system is making a release in 2011, no matter where it might be. Odds are we’ll find out more about the system’s release in English-speaking territories in the coming months, especially if it’s still slated for a release in the first half of 2012. Stay tuned!
