Black Friday Meta Quest deals are really heating up now that Amazon has launched the majority of its discounts. Sadly, the headsets haven't seen price drops yet, but there's still time for the Quest 3 512GB model to get a discount during Thanksgiving week. The real value at the moment is in accessories, which you'll see spotlit below. Some of our go-to recommendations are back down to their lowest-ever prices, which might mean even lower prices after the weekend.
2024 has been great for VR. Apple Vision Pro launched this year, and while it was all the rage when it arrived, it's become the weird, rich uncle of the VR family that everyone talks about, but no one really has much interest in. PSVR 2 has had a great year, despite the lack of exclusive first-party games announced for it. PC support brings its amazing feature set to a whole new market, and it's great to see another viable option. In the UK, the Pico 4 Ultra has arrived, so there are some great alternatives to Meta Quest devices if you're still on the fence about which you would prefer. Still, the Meta Quest devices are some of the most approachable VR devices on the shelves today, and there's a good reason they're so popular.
Black Friday gaming deals are here in droves now, and they're a rare opportunity to get new gaming technology for cheaper than usual. If you're hunting for a deal on one of the best VR headsets, it's best to plan long-term so you know how much to save throughout the year. We've rounded up our expectations and the most frequently asked questions down below so you can do just that. We've covered Meta Quest deals for a long time now, and although there are surprises every year, we know from experience what sorts of things to expect.

Headset deals
Meta Quest 3S | $299.99 at Amazon
The Quest 3S starts at $299 in the US, which you can find here at Amazon. If you buy now, you'll get a free copy of Batman Arkham Shadow lumped in at no extra cost, and at this price, you'll get 128GB of storage. There's also a 256GB model, but we think this is the more alluring version.
Buy it if:
✅ You're a first-time VR headset buyer
✅ You don't need 512GB of storage
✅ You don't care about pancake lenses
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want the maximum storage allowance possible
Price check: Best Buy: $299.99 | Walmart: $649.00
Meta Quest 3S 256GB Comfort Bundle | $469.98 $448.99 at Amazon
Save $20.99 - The larger Quest 3S model comes with 256GB of storage, and in this bundle you get its official Elite head strap with a combined saving of $20.99 - not bad for something that's still brand new. And yes, you'll still get Batman Arkham Shadow for no extra cost.
Buy it if:
✅ You're looking for a Quest 3S bundle
✅ The official Elite strap works for you
✅ You'll use the 256GB of storage
Don't buy it if:
❌ You like the look of more affordable third-party head straps
Price check: Best Buy: $449.98
Meta Quest 3 512GB | $649 $499 at Best Buy
Save $150 - The Meta Quest 3's 512GB model has never been more affordable - or tempting. The Quest 3S Batman Arkham Shadow bundle applies here too. Early reviews of the game have been glowing, so it seems like a great perk to get with a new headset. 512GB of space for this price is a massive win for anyone who has waited until now to grab one.
Buy it if:
✅ You want more storage space
✅ You want mixed reality features
✅ You're interested in playing SteamVR games
Don't buy it if:
❌ You already play games on a PS5
Price check: Amazon: $499.99 | Walmart: $569.99
UK: £619.99 £469 at Amazon
128GB Model: £409.99 at EE
(UK only)
Pico 4 Ultra 256GB + Blade & Sorcery Nomad | £529 at Amazon
If you find yourself in the UK, and you aren't 100% sold on Meta's headsets, allow me to present the best alternative there is right now. It has better specs than the Quest 3, and its middling storage between its rivals will give you a lot to think about.
Buy it if:
✅ You're not a fan of Meta as a brand
✅ You still want a great standalone VR headset
✅ You want one of the best VR games ever made
Don't buy it if:
❌ You're in the US
Quest 3 Accessories
Syntech Link Cable 16FT | $19.99 $15.99 at Amazon
Save $4 - If you want to link your standalone headset to a PC, a cable like this will help you do it. 16FT should be plenty to play with, and it's now back to the low price we recommended it for during Prime Day in October.
Buy it if:
✅ You want to link your headset to a PC
✅ You have a Quest 2 or 3
✅ 16FT is long enough
Don't buy it if:
❌ You only play standalone games
Syntech Link Cable carrying case | $23.99 $18.99 at Amazon
Save $6 - This is one of our favorite carry cases to recommend to VR users. It's a hard shell case that'll protect your headset, but it's also fairly low profile and doesn't broadcast to everyone around you that you have something valuable worth stealing. In this offer, you save a nice $5. It may get cheaper as we approach Black Friday, but this is a nice discount for now.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a carry case for your headset
✅ You have a Quest 2 or 3
✅ You want something subtle
Don't buy it if:
❌ You don't take your headset on the go
JSAUX Battery Pack for Quest 3 | $39.99 $31.99 at Amazon
Save $12 - A nice discount makes this inventive little battery add-on cheaper. If you struggle with the weight of a battery head strap around your noggin, this is a clever alternative that was back down to the price we saw last Prime Day. It's since jumped back up slightly, but it's still an okay early deal.
Buy it if:
✅ You need more battery life
✅ You don't want extra weight on your head
✅ You want a charger for other devices
Don't buy it if:
❌ You use fitness apps
❌ You don't mind a weightier head strap
AMVR Facial Interface for Quest 3 | $39.99 $29.99 at Amazon
Save $10 - Don't forget to check the $5 coupon when you go to the retail page here, but this facial interface from AMVR comes highly rated with soft PU cushioning. This may add some size changes to your Quest 3 or 3S, but it'll make things a lot more comfortable.
Buy it if:
✅ You find the Quest puts pressure on your face
✅ You want fewer face marks after a VR session
✅ You're okay with a $10 discount
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want the tightest, most secure fit
❌ You find the Quest 3 comfy already
NexiGo Charging Dock for Quest 3 | $69.99 $39.99 at Amazon
Save $30 - One of the most popular charging docks on Amazon for the Quest 3 has a strip of RGB lining around it, but will charge its controllers too - a huge win! $30 moves it cheaper than we've seen it for the past month, which shows you Black Friday is nearing. This is the cheapest it's now been at Amazon.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a charging dock
✅ You want a way to display your headset
✅ Some subtle RGB lighting appeals to you
Don't buy it if:
❌ You have a battery pack head strap
UK: £59.99 at Amazon
Ear Fun Air Pro 3 | $80 $49.99 at Amazon
Save $31 - These are some noise-cancelling earbuds for gaming as well as other uses. If you need to keep your gaming sessions quiet, link these to your headset with Bluetooth. At this price, they're back to their lowest-ever cost.
Buy it if:
✅ You want wireless earbuds for your headset
✅ You want earbuds for gaming and music
✅ Immersive audio is appealing
Don't buy it if:
❌ You don't need to keep your VR sessions quiet
Black Friday Meta Quest deals: FAQ
What to expect from Black Friday Meta Quest deals in 2024
The Meta Quest 3S is now here, and it has definitely caused some shifts in the landscape of VR prices. The 128GB Meta Quest 3 has now been retired, meaning that it'll get harder and harder to find stock soon. Meanwhile, it's as we feared, the Quest 2 has been discontinued as well to make room for the Quest 3S's lower price. The Quest Pro is now out of the picture too, but that's not necessarily a tragedy.
The 512GB Quest 3 remains an enthusiast-level option, and its price has just dropped to $499 as a result. The Quest 3S starts at 128GB and has a price of $299 but has a higher capacity 256GB model for $399. At present, any Quest headset bought will benefit from the pre-order bundle that's available for the 3S. You'll get Batman Arkham Shadow at no extra cost. If this is anything like the Asgard's Wrath 2 launch bundle last year, this could extend well into 2025.
For Black Friday then, we could very well see a cheeky price drop of the 512GB Quest 3, potentially to keep it competitive with the new HTC Vive Focus Vision, or the Pico 4 Ultra. Since it's brand new, it's unlikely the Quest 3S will get any cheaper this November, so I wouldn't wait around to find out.
What's more certain is that some of the best Meta Quest accessories will see big discounts. These always make up the majority of the deals we find, and they're a fantastic way to improve your headset's quality of life. Will you go for a new head strap that extends your battery life? Will you grab a charging stand so your controllers don't constantly run out of life? Or will you get yourself a carrying case so you can take some spatial computing power on the go? These types of things are always discounted during Black Friday, so if nothing else, prepare for those.
When will Black Friday Meta Quest deals start?
Black Friday Meta Quest 2 deals will officially kick off on November 29, 2024. However, every year the deals seem to come in earlier. We'd recommend keeping an eye on Prime Day events, and preparing for the best offers to hit the shelves when Thanksgiving week starts.
Where will the best Black Friday Meta Quest deals be?
US
Amazon: offers official bundles throughout the year
Best Buy: wide range of accessories and often includes free gifts
B&H Photo: often one of the first to offer rare price drops
Newegg: big savings on renewed models and accessories
Oculus: get in there early for any official price drops
Target: get it the same day with in-store pickup
Walmart: could offer bundle deals on accessories
UK
Amazon: sometimes offers discounts on bundles
Argos: previously had excellent deals on Go models
Currys: best for accessory bundles with regular discounts
John Lewis: two year guarantee included
Oculus: go straight to the source for early discounts
Very: regular stock and often price matches during sales
Is the Meta Quest 2 still worth it?
The Quest 2, in my opinion, is still worth buying for first-time VR gamers - if you can find it below the cost of the new Quest 3S. Annoyingly, it's been very tricky to find it of late, and that'll only continue since Meta has officially discontinued it to make room for the Quest 3S.
If you can find one, or you're a collector looking for one to put on display and cherish forever, we'll do our best to find some, but we'd be cautious. Prices of retired devices like this can go up through the roof, so be careful you don't pay too much for one.
If you're a first-time VR headset buyer, maybe look at the Meta Quest 3S instead, seeing as it's going for the same price as the Quest 2 used to sit at.
