The complete Pokemon Diamond and Pearl pokedex, part 1

Pokémon Name: Infernape
Type: Fire / Fighting
Classification: Flame
Pokédex Number: 006 Sinnoh / 392 National
Ability: Blaze – Increases the power of Fire-type attacks when HP is low
Dream World ability: Iron Fist – Increases power of punching moves by 20%
Useful Attacks: Flare Blitz
Location Found:
D/P/P: Evolved from Monferno
HG/SS: Trade from D/P/P
B/W: Poke Transfer

Infernape is hands down the best of the three starter evolutions, sporting impressive stats, two useful types, all while being the coolest of them. A master martial artist, it channels the raging flame on its head to use the powerful Flare Blitz attack, which does massive fire damage, but hits Infernape with significant recoil. Between Flare Blitz and Close Combat, this Pokémon is one of the versatile and powerful creatures in the game... shame they couldn't have come up with a name that wasn't also based on the word “inferno.”
